Shut your whore mouth. Signs was great and the build up to the final scene with the water was a great payoff.
I will defend Signs and the Village till my dying days. both fantastic movies.
I won't defend much past that from MNS, but those two are some of the best movies from the aughts and you're only mad because critics told you to shite on it and sniff their A24 farts.

Did anyone else sit through this Predator rip-off? It was so predictable and without spoiling anything- - the only mechanism to defeat the baddie more stupid than this was throwing water on the aliens in SIGNS.
Alan Ritchson owes me 103 minutes of my life back.
It was entertaining, which is what entertainment is meant to do.

It was mindless fun. You don’t have to be upset about it.
This. I enjoyed the movie for what it was …an action sci-fi.

I'd argue War of the Worlds reasoning was worse. The super advanced alien life form traveled across the galaxy and didn't think to be sure they could survive in earth's atmosphere.
They didn't travel across the galaxy. They came from Mars.

We watched this last night. My wife picked it, surprisingly.
We had previously watched another movie called "War Machine" a couple of months ago. That one starred Brad Pitt as a fictional version of real-life US Army general Stanley McChrystal who was in charge of the Afghanistan theater of operations for a while.
I thought the Richson version was entertaining, but nothing special.
As an engineer, the design of the alien robot left a whole lot to be desired.
Obviously, they set things up for a sequel.
