Hopefully the offensive “woes” are gone for good.

This is baseball, woes have a way of showing up when you least expect them.

Dardar, Milam, Serna, and Pearson have done well the last 5/6 games.
Stanny is the key to this offense, IMO. He’s back and things are looking up for the next 2 1/2 months. I like where we are offensively. Pitching will be where we want it this time next month.

We weren’t hitting dogshit bullpen so it’s still an improvement.

Exactly.

Despite the fact that I’m not convinced this team will make a 2024 type turnaround, some of these marginal, baby-step kind of improvements are encouraging on the small scale - and, looking macro, is an example of the reason why baseball is really the only sport you can have a full 180° turnaround midseason: 50+ regular season games over course of 4ish months allow for a lot of growth, or regression, or both. *itcouldhappen* *butprollywont*

Definitely an improvement! We need Curiel and Milam to stay hot.

They may be finally coming out of a slump. If that is the case, there will be another slump to melt over before the end of the year.

Pretty sure Kentucky was a top 20 team

still need more strikes from the pitching staff

They hit .433 (13-30) last night. Much better than they did against some of the midweek opponents earlier in the season.

We scored 31 runs in three games against Vandy and still went 1-2. In the two games we lost we walked 23 batters. More than one an inning for two games. It was hard to watch.
