I live in a town that doesn’t have Costco or Sam’s, we have BJ’s. Their $1.50 hotdog tastes like prison food.

I haven't been to a Sams in decades. Is it still aisles of items in bulk like six oil filters shrink wrapped where you might save $2 on buying six separately? What do you consider to be your best go-to deals and what is the difference in price vs say Walmart?

Those assholes won't let you buy alcohol in the self checkout anymore and I often times pick up a bottle of bourbon and my gf will get a bottle of wine. One thing that Sam's does much better than Costco is the scan-as-you-go.

Meat. You can get some good deals on prime steaks. I save enough on bulk orders of meat to more than pay for the membership.
They have a good selection of cheese and incredible cauliflower crust oven pizzas.
And I buy members mark coffee in bulk.
Those things more than make up for the membership

Locally (BR area), yes. Sam’s is Walmart Plus in terms of its customers and customer service.
However, I like the fact they offer more than their brand and one other brand, unlike Costco. I also like their checkout process. It is far better than Costco.

Not even close. I went to Costco and it wasn't worth switching from Sam's Club. I'm perfectly fine with Sam's and Scan & Go.
