MIAMI AIRPORT PORT DIRECTOR ARRESTED: 1.6 TONS OF COCAINE & FENTANYL SEIZED IN $312 MILLION CARTEL SMUGGLING RING
At 4:47 a.m., federal agents launched a massive raid at Miami International Airport and exposed one of the most brazen betrayals in U.S. border security history.
A routine inspection of a “frozen agricultural goods” container revealed over 4,400 pounds of high-purity cocaine — the tip of a sophisticated smuggling empire that moved 1.6 tons of narcotics through the port using fraudulent clearances and insider help.
At the center: Armando Vasquez Ruiz, a 22-year veteran CBP official, and a network of 18 active federal employees (including supervisory officers, TSA coordinators, and a Homeland Security analyst) who allegedly took millions in bribes to let cartel shipments pass unchecked.
The operation seized $14.6 million in cash, 47 firearms, and dismantled a layered system of shell companies that laundered hundreds of millions for the Sinaloa cartel.
They didn’t just smuggle drugs through America’s busiest cargo hub.
They allegedly controlled it from the inside.
The gatekeepers became the smugglers.
Federal agents just took the airport back.
A historic blow to cartel infiltration at U.S. ports.
The shadow network is exposed.

Yep! The way I look at those "too good to be true" posts is if they have a link to a legitimate news site or not. This one didn't have any link to anything, just a photoshopped still shot.

Fake news bullshite.

ETA- to whoever put out this garbage: what's the motivation here? I mean, it's not a misstatement or misinterpretation of a story. It's a complete fabrication, including names, titles and details. So what's the point?

So there is no Armando Vasquez Ruiz?

Cocaine coming in through Miami? Guess anything’s possible. Hard to believe though.

.I think I spot the issue.

Imagine how much was done before he was caught.

No, there is not. Do a Google search. Port Directors of major cities and airports are listed by name. Find Armando Vasquez Ruiz as the Miami Port Director. You won't because he doesn't exist.

Google tells me the current Miami Port Director is Daniel Alonso. How hard was that?
