Challenge Accepted

quote:

Let’s start implementing this with the withdrawal of US troops from Germany,” he told supporters in Saxony.

Nearly 40,000 American troops are stationed in the country, which hosts more than a dozen major US military installations, including its European Command headquarters.

No problem, even though the AfD is on "our side," as conservatives.

Poland is ready and willing to provide, and they'd offered to pay for the facilities, if we wanted to. Make Germany pay for any facilities we leave behind (Rammstein, Landsthul, etc.) and get out.

Praise Jesus.

Absolutely no reason to be there in 2026, our grandfathers helped win that war back in 1945 and the Soviets haven’t been around for decades.

It’s over, bring them home.

I think its a cool setup for us and itd be a bummer to lose that IMO.

I love AfD and see their point that its somewhat cucked for one of the greatest civilisations in the world (the Germans) to have another country with 40K soldiers on your soil.

Only reason for us to have 40k troops over there would be to clear out the globalists in Brussels and Switzerland.

If that’s not the plan they all need to come home.

We've enabled them. While their militaries have withered on the vine (UK with six destroyers, 2 of which can be deployed?? You have territories from the Falklands to near New Zealand, and you thought this was OK?) we were the backbone. Get boned, EU.

I don’t think you realize that would necessitate a MASSIVE reduction in our military (equipment and people).

That means significant cuts to defense contractors and roughly 300,000 soldiers, sailors, marines, etc. out of a job. Some people choose the military because it’s a viable career. This would yank the rug out from them while making us less safe. Both bad ideas.

Grounds troops fine, but right this moment we have planes flying out of Ramstein AFB in Germany against Iran. And I suspect that Germany's position would be that, if we remove our ground troops, they won't let us use their airbases for things like the Iran mission. And you can't land bombers and tankers on aircraft carriers, so we need to think about the consequences of pulling out of Europe.

If they want is gone, let them throw us out. I don’t see it happening.

Yes that’s the point.

This is bad. How many injured soldiers lives were saved by our hospitals in Germany? Do we reinvent the wheel in Poland or hope they survive the flight back to the US?

I’d rather not have as many soldiers injured in the first place because we wont be fighting unnecessary wars in places that aren’t required for our national defense in a reduced global footprint.

Poland.

Without a question.

And they tell each of their children why to this day.

We’ll still be somewhere.

There were ten bases around Tokyo. All closed now. All closed at the end of Viet Nam. No one came home, they simply grew other locations.

If Poland wants the growth, have them provide the infrastructure. Thousands of jobs for Poland.

Tokyo lost thousands of support jobs when American moved out.
