If tweet fails to load, click here. Nestle’s statement on 12-ton KitKat heist was solid:
“We've always encouraged people to have a break with KITKAT - but it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tonnes of our chocolate. Whilst we appreciate the criminals' exceptional taste, the fact remains that cargo theft is an escalating issue for businesses of all sizes.”

The company said the stolen truck had left a factory in central Italy and was making its way to Poland when it was stolen, adding that "the vehicle and its contents remain unaccounted for."

Probably some Snickers peeps

I have no sympathy for the company. Mitch Hedberg discovered their frickery years ago, and it has gone on for far too long.

Brilliant marketing move. Getting your product stolen and making a few social media posts with outreach value that far outweighs the cost of the heist.

Why? Did the robbers think there was a golden ticket in there somewhere?

I could see this being a hoax orchestrated by the Nestle marketing department. Whether it is or not, their cute statement regarding the “heist” is predictable.

I wonder if the investigators will catch a
Break.
Break.

The fact that Nestle issued such a casual, punny official statement so quickly after the heist almost makes it seem like this was all just a publicity stunt...

I live kitkat bars. They were my go to growing up. I hope these stolen chocolates end up bringing joy to starving children or some happy shite.

??413,793?? I realize this occurred in Europe but what an odd number. How in the hell do they package those things over there?
