Or you can try to name cities worse than BR not named Memphis or Jackson.

No matter where you live - paradise or hell - try to make the best of it. Cheers

That's the key. I've lived everywhere. From less than 1/3 mile to the beach on El Segundo, CS to middle of nowhere Oklahoma now. Born and raised in Missouri, then spent 20 years going wherever the Army sent me. Ft Hood tore cruising duty in the middle of nowhere southern Indiana.

I can be fine and make the best of anything. I really like where I'm at now with plenty of land and no neighbors, but if I had to move tomorrow then idadapt and overcome.

I loved my days at LSU but i cant speak much to living in BR outside of the campus bubble .. but ive driven in and through BR many many times since then.. and ive lived all over the US, and now i live back & forth between S America and SE Asia.. no matter where i live in America or on the planet- i always tell people that the consistently worst traffic ive ever seen in the world is in Baton Rouge Louisiana .. and it isn’t close .

I will never see Mumbai voluntarily so I can’t appropriately compare the two places.

I’m presently in the Western Isles of Scotland and while there’s admittedly some wokeness present, it is safe and the work ethic here runs circles around what is the norm in BR.

45°F with intermittent rain/some frozen precipitation too.

I wish people would realize the “and it isn’t close” injection makes them less convincing.

Your travels in South East Asia must be very limited to think that traffic is much worse in Baton Rouge. Clearly you’ve spent no time in the Philippines, Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, or Ho Chi Minh City.

Yep. I usually make the assumption they are being facetious and don’t take them seriously.

Maybe.. but i was purposely trying to avoid using the tired old phrases “hands down !!”.. or “full stop”.. or .. it isn’t EVEN close”… i guess there’s just no winning here, no matter what words you use .

Sorry to burst your bubble, but ive been to and /or lived in three of the five places you mentioned.. of course the traffic is atrocious in just about every one of them.. and maybe it’s b/c I commuted three times monthly from San Antonio to NOLA for years at a time so i have more experience with BR traffic, not just on I10 but other routes.. i have been stuck in traffic at 2am on a Wednesday morning in BR before, more than once at similar times, with no rhyme or reason.. at least when im fighting traffic in Manila, i have to remind myself that there are like 18 million residents there so it makes some logical sense other than merely poor design .

Whey would you use a trite word like “Yep” to start your post ? Dont you realize it’s way overused and not convincing ? Why not just state the sentence after about how you dont take people seriously, why start with “Yep” ??

I can get better Cajun food, Mexican food, and po boys in Baton Rouge. I can also wake up, realize I need tires, and go get a set before lunch.

I have never heard of an Indian brand of tire. Do they make anything beyond call centers?

ETA: Come on, tiny, scared, downvote queers. Don’t just hit the button and hide. Step up and say what got your panties all bunched up.

Jakarta traffic blows 100%. Bangkok is pretty nuts. Cairo is insane. Red lights overseen by machine gunners crazy, Athens is a mess. Amsterdam in places is like BR. DC sucks arse. Atlanta says hold my beer.

Baton Rouge is just fine if you have a few frames of reference.

Waze for the win.

Why say this? 0.0% chance this has ever happened to anyone without a massive wreck involved

Mumbai. You can smell it in the plane on final approach.
