There is no requirement to give the same money to Women’s sports as men’s

Yeah, we should probably fire mulkey. That will get rid of our losing in the elite 8 and sweet 16 problem.

There is a requirement to give money to women’s sports equivalent to men’s sports. So “no more money” doesn’t really follow suit

Yes! This is what I’ve been saying! Let South Carolina be the women’s basketball school and waste all that money since it’s all they’ll ever be good at. LSU ain’t like that.

It’s not your money. Just admit you hate women’s sports (or women in general) and move on.

You didn’t even watch the game didn’t you.

That’s not even close to correct and a brief look at LSU’s athletic department spending will confirm that.

We have to have equal numbers of men’s and women’s sports and possibly scholarships available at a certain level of parity between the sports. Men and women also have to have equivalent access to athletic department resources.

Like in baseball, most of what the women are getting is based on traditional NIL deals and sponsorship, not rev share. If individuals and businesses want to give the ladies money, then frick off. That has nothing to do with men’s basketball.

Be excited for The General and hopeful for what he can achieve but you really don't want to compare his record and accomplishments with Kim's.

She is in a completely different stratosphere no matter how you feel about women's sports.

You are right. I am too casual with rhetoric about it.
If you are talking about NIL, there is no requirements as far as I am aware, to give any to women’s sports.
If you are talking about the university spending money on sport. Which would be travel expenses, medical services, coaching, financial aid/tutoring, etc. they must have the same opportunities as the men.
People get butthurt about the deficit and make posts like the “ no more money to women’s basketball” as if there was some magic budget cut to prevent the deficit. Competitive women’s college basketball will operate at a deficit.

You should protest about this in front of Mikes cage.

I feel like the only true way to really tighten the belt with WBB is to discontinue the program. Even terrible WBB programs lose 5-7 million a year, so it feels like we get a decent return being a national brand losing a couple more than the average

I don’t think that will ever happen unless the media revenue goes up for women’s basketball

Being against spending significant resources in women’s basketball doesn’t equate to hating women’s sports or women in general lmao. They should dedicate more resources to gymnastics over WBB. Much more interesting and requires much more athleticism.

I did, mind numbingly hard to watch.

General has been good but not great his whole career. First Round General has to get to sweet sixteen annually to be elite. I'm not expecting great things in this world where every coach has nil...

I’d like to compare your list of accomplishments to those of Kim Mulkey. People who criticize the people doing all the work are so annoying.
