Sen. Rand Paul Says He’s ‘50/50’ on 2028 Presidential Run

Not saying he doesn't have some value but he threads the needle so much that no one would vote for him.

At this point, he'd do better running as a Democrat.

I think Mr. Paul has exposed himself as not exactly being the "independent rebel" he has always presented himself as being. Not only that, but he's not charismatic. I used to like him, and I hated the fact that he couldn't gain much traction because he was considered "dull" by campaigning standards.

But, it is what it is.

He appeals solidly to a small group… this would look to me like grifting, honestly. He’ll, I’m not even certain he could carry Kentucky.

He’d be a vote splitter though… that’d be enough to get more than just his neighbor spoiling for a fight.

We definitely don't need somebody like Paul to run 3rd Party in 2028. Like you said, his base is small but they're also loyal. Somebody like RP could get enough votes to almost assuredly throw the election to the Democrat.

Rand Paul won't sniff a general election. He has a very unlikable personality and normies won't vote for that dude
