ChatGPT
^ETA — this in response to your original question.
Ask a specific, detailed question into ChatGPT (or whatever AI app you prefer) and you will get a very thorough, practical response tailored specifically to your hypothetical scenarios. It’s actually very impressive and can be a useful tool

This board is honestly your best bet. The amount of knowledge in this forum continues to amaze me, and you'll get a good feel for consensus for any question you may have via upvotes/downvotes.

The info it gives you is also incorrect a lot of the time. Using AI for definitive answers is not a good idea. Use it to get started but I’d always suggest verifying the info before believing it’s 100% factual.

It works best when you have AI validate and challenge the answers it gives you. The one problem with AI, it does not always deduce the answer from the most recent data points. It will provide you an accurate answer, however that answer is derived from data relevant years ago.
It is more of an issue when using AI to assist in coding, where versions and updates to systems are happening in monthly cadence. Financials are less volatile, however challenging and prompting is key to making sure you have the best informed decision.

Yeah I mean that would be foolish using AI as definitive answers without fact checking the information, but when used appropriately it is a very useful tool

Agree. But an example is what you can use for a QCD. It didn’t realize you can’t use a full RMD amount via QCD. Meaning a QCD is maxed at $111k but someone’s RMD might be $200k. That’s a pretty big deal to understand.

This is what I've found.
The general knowledge of AI blows me away.
But the application is not specific to case studies. It applies general knowledge to case studies (in ways that are not applicable to the case studies). This actually gives a false sense of security after the prompts.
The best use I have personally found for AI (other than an enhanced search engine) is extracting data from statements. Or extracting specific questions from legal contracts.
The data from which the LLMs pull their info is still too broad or too incorrect (reddit as a source).
