Ukraine just bombed one of Russia's largest oil export terminals

Ust-Luga, a key Baltic Sea export hub handling 20% of Russia's seaborne oil, underscores Ukraine's strategy to disrupt energy revenues, with prior strikes in 2024-2025 reducing throughput by up to 30% per peer-reviewed energy analyses. Could add a short term spike of roughly $3-10 per barrel to brent crude prices. 2 million barrels per day are exported = 2% of global supply.

That should send gas prices higher.
Trump will probably be pissed.
Ukraine wants the Democrats back in control so their US taxpayer money flow returns to a full gully washer from a trickle.
After November, how long til the first $50B Ukraine Aid package passes?
Probably tied to a CR.

Russia buys arms from Iran, Russia makes money from the strait being closed, Russia provides intel to Iran, and Iran lets Russia through the strait.
Ukraine sends interceptor drones to our gulf allies & pledges to continue supplying them.
How do you square all that?

Honestly, it’s a really good strategy when being attacked. This really hurts Russia.

The US is quickly becoming the controlling party for world oil & gas.

I suppose Russia feels the same way about us helping Ukraine after they attacked them as you feel about Russia helping Iran after we attacked them.

First of all, for all those believing Ukraine invented the drone technology they are "giving" to assist us......bless your hearts. That is our tech and we are giving the targeting tech to Ukraine.
Knowing this, I suspect our three letter agency assisting them helped enable this knowing it would fck up world pricing. They could help swing the house and zelensky gets back on the gravy train.....and the US citizens once again get screwed.
Those drones would be of far better use supporting the thousands of troops dying on the front. But then it wouldnt make headlines.........

Russia is getting what it deserves. Russia should have never tried to a conquer a country made up of Russians who just didn’t know they were Russians.
For those who might not remember that is a quote of how Putin described Ukraine just before the invasion started.

What needs squaring? Isn’t Israel on the US side of the war?

They are, and many of their talking points have made it to this board, in fact.
But Russia sews dissention with whatever it can. Remember, the Facebook ads Russia was busted buying in 2016 were largely for far-Left groups/activities, not for pro-Trump activities.
Just because Russia invests in propaganda in a sector doesn't mean they believe in the propaganda. They don't engage in this behavior to promote beliefs they support. It's just about creating conflict domestically with their enemies.

Ukraine is a drone superpower. They make three million annually.
The reason for US assisting with some of the tech was a joint effort to reduce reliance on Chinese parts, as Russia and China are obviously allied + CCP is no friend of the US either.

Cool I guess we should tell them to stop assisting then & Trump should cut whatever components we are providing.
The fricking copium is off the charts.
