Solid coach that came into a terrible situation. From all accounts a great guy behind the scenes. I'll be pulling for him at his next stop.

I agree with this. It was time, but he did all he could. It just wasn’t enough to bring LSU where it should be.
Great dude, hopefully he lands somewhere with lower expectations where he can win more and still be a part of the community.

It's tough to remember that there are actual people on the other end of these moves. And by all accounts he's a good person.
I hope he lands on his feet with a program he can win at.

He'll land on his feet and be decent at some midmajor program again. LSU was just too big a job for him and wasn't cut out for the SEC.

CMM entered the LSU program at am awful time....and they gave him very little resources. He did his best and never complained.

He was and is HORRIBLE! Period end of story! The awful part was what LSU fans had to endure the last 4 years. He should be forced to pay the money back. Should have never been hired. He is walking away with tens of millions for being rhe worst coach in the country last 4 years. He should be open to all the bashing anyone can fork out.

I don't have anything against him personally. He sucked as a HC and was kept too long. Glad he is gone and we got Wade back.

Why do you try to rationalize with us? We're known to give our teams advantages due to the scent of bourbon emitting from our bodies. And if that doesn't work, we stash a few piss balloons within throwing distance.

I don't think most people are bashing him nor do they wish him ill will. They are happy because he was an awful fit here. I have never heard more excuses for a coach in my lifetime. I'm glad he is a good guy. I am glad he is not Brian Kelly. None of that matters though. He sucked all of the life out of the basketball program and he is a millionaire. It's not like he is getting laid off like one of us without the money to support his family. I don't care how good of a guy he is when he should have never been allowed to have 4 years after the first three were that bad.
