This was a media and political rag bait issue. Go read the comments on reddit and all the top comments are in favor of this. This should have never been a thing. There is a common sense solution to most things but we have to make a deal about everything now.

It’s not. Almost everyone agrees with this. Same with voter ID. But it gets used for media stories to keep the people yelling at this while congress works on fricking us over behind the curtains
