If you are going to fire him, fire him.
Conducting a secret coaching search and forcing him to get updates from the press rather than his boss is a shitty way to manage employees.

I don’t think they’re going to fire him unless WW decides to come on board. They don’t want to announce his firing in the event that Wade is just using lsu as leverage for a bigger contract at nc state

But he has no leverage. He can’t get another major conference HC job and even the reduced buyout LSU would owe him is FAR more than he can make as a mid-major HC. His best financial move was to sit in the corner and say nothing.

MM is not a good coach, but he’s also not dumb or an arse hole. He understands he has sucked. He knows he doesn’t deserve to be coddled like op is suggesting. LSU has a right to spend time making a decision. If MM doesn’t like it, he can quit.
