This board's obsession with defunding Women's basketball

is ignorant and short sighted. Funny thing is no one says a word when talking about college baseball when the money it makes is pretty much insignificant if you are following yalls logic. Also nationally women's basketball is more popular than college baseball.

We don’t want it defunded. We want it reigned in a bit! 9 Million is a lot money to lose every year.
It’s the most in the country by a long shot.

Baseball use to turn a small profit yearly until recently. Women's basketball loses $8+ million annually. That's a pretty big difference.
At LSU, baseball is more popular than women's basketball. That's just a fact. So it makes sense why LSU fans would rather money go towards baseball rather than women's basketball.

It’s hard to compete in four sports. What other SEC school allocates the amount of dollars to football, men’s basketball (and probably even more now that Wade is back), baseball, and women’s basketball?

True, thanks in large part to its popularity as you say,
Women's basketball only costs LSU $7 million more dollars a year than baseball. Your logic is solid

Men's sports are just a 1000x better. It's a fact. People don't want the death of their men's basketball program so women's basketball can live.

I really don’t understand the whole concern with making money, what sport is more popular, etc. debate. I was at the gym a couple days ago with a women’s tournament game on the TV. I look up and the first play I see I counted 7 different players hit the floor going after a loose ball. I appreciated the effort displayed, but it did not feel like a very enjoyable product to me. Therefore I will watch a more enjoyable product to me. What others do do not concern me, but to each their own. What the state of Indiana feels about the two sports is completely irrelevant to me.
