TSA Tipped Off ICE Agents Before Arrests at San Francisco Airport

The documents shed new light on how the Transportation Security Administration is sharing with ICE officials the names and birth dates of travelers believed to have been ordered out of the country by a judge. That has made it easier for the Trump administration to detain and deport undocumented immigrants as they pass through airports.
Ms. Lopez-Jimenez, 41, a native of Guatemala, and her daughter, Wendy Godinez-Lopez, were flagged by T.S.A. officials on Friday when they showed up on a passenger list for a Sunday flight from San Francisco to Miami. The agency then tipped off Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to the documents.
Ms. Lopez-Jimenez and her daughter were living in Contra Costa County, Calif., on the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the congressman for that region, John Garamendi. She had no criminal history, though she entered the country illegally.
Democratic officials recoiled this week at the detention. Mr. Garamendi, a Democrat, said that it was the latest example of how the Trump administration was rounding up mothers and children instead of focusing its immigration enforcement on dangerous criminals.
He also condemned the sharing of passenger information by T.S.A. with ICE, saying that data sharing seemed to be “omnipresent” under the Trump administration, putting personal information at risk and bypassing due process.
“The real story here is the way in which databases are being used,” he said in an interview. “A mother and her daughter are detained, and within 36 hours, they’re sent to Guatemala.”

Many thousands of government employees must be incarcerated for a very extended period of time, perhaps in perpetuity, for committing treason
This is a reality that will bludgeon the public eventually

What is the benefit of nabbing someone leaving on their own?

How do they afford to fly to Miami?

TSA and ICE our components of the same agency: DHS. Of course they are sharing information. All federal government agencies should be sharing with others, in fact. It's common fricking sense.

The hypocrisy of Marxist Dems never fails to amaze. The ICE presence at airports is to make up for the lack of TSA workers that Marxist Dems are refusing funds to pay!!!
Ya can't make this up.

She was going to Miami... now she's going to Guatemala.
Also, this way, she has the official express DISinvitation to come back.
Or maybe admin47 wanted two more scalps on the official scoreboard.
Who cares? Two more gone.

Leaving on their own? Sounds like they were going on a vacation in our country.

I agree with the incarceration part, but Marxist Dem supporters will never view it this way. If folks supporting the insane policies of the Marxist Dems had any sense, they wouldn't be supporting them in the first place.

I do love this mantra that govt agencies should not share data. They did not want the SSA sharing data with the IRS. They dont want TSA sharing with ICE.
Its as if Musk was correct when he said the reason so much corruption exists is because govt agencies dont share data and obviously the states dont share with the federal govt given the medicaid debacle.
The good reason.......privacy issues
The real reason......opening pandora's box about all the nefarious shat going on at all levels.

So let me get something straight.
Dude from Guatemala is an illegal. It sounds like he's probably been flying with no problem for quite some time.
When they check your "ID", why doesn't illegal immigrant pop up on TSA's screen in the first place?

How can someone write this sentence?
I can understand saying no history of violent crime but this? Pure propaganda

Though on a side note, I'm loving the publicity the ICE agents are getting by helping out the people stuck in long lines. Ie getting them water, holding their spots in line, etc. Dems gonna start wanting to "talk". I'm glad Trump is rejecting their shite.

She was supposed to be deported in 2019 and had been evading law enforcement. You forgot that important part of the story.

I have no problem with this. Seems like it was done calmly and humanely.
