ICE helping out at MSY

I was at the airport this morning on the mess. Saw the ICE agents. They aren’t helping with TSA from what I could see
They were walking around and present but weren’t at any security checkpoint or anything else

Maybe our airports won’t be all out war zones with ICE there now.
People need to feel it’s safe enough to go to the airport and fly again. This is a big step in the right direction.

They walked the lines in the parking garage and then stood on ghr 3rd floor and looked down at the lines. I guess that’s providing “security” but it wasn’t doing anything for the current mess

Tom Homan said they were going to "guard the doors", so the TSA agents that normally guard the doors could go work the lines
Of course, he also said Sunday morning they were working on the plan for Monday morning, so I doubt a whole lot of thought went into this

Thats kind of the point. ICE isn't working security checkpoints. They are doing all the other random shite TSA agents have to do to free up TSA agents to work the checkpoints.
