I think his take at the end that having Simpson in the 15 to 20 range is better than Mendoza at 1 makes a lot of sense.

I’m not sure Simpson is better than Mendoza because Simpson’s deep ball was pretty lacking at times. I do think people outside of Alabama and the SEC don’t appreciate how bad the Alabama offense was outside of Simpson.

The running game, including RPO, was nonexistent even against light boxes. Simpson had to pick apart defenses with the defense playing for a pass every play.

If Simpson can end up on a team with a veteran QB, like the Rams, he could easily end up the best in this class. I don't think the gap is big between him and Mendoza

I'd take Simpson over Mandoza, assuming I was picking in the 10-20 range. Not one long-term NFL starter in this bunch.

Feels like they recycle this kind of QB drama no matter whose on the list

Next up will be Chris Simms making a top QB list that has like Drew Allar or Taylon Green as QB1

Simpson has negative QB effect in college.

He's going to be terrible in the NFL.

Kenny Pickett, whom he is sometimes compared to, had a much better QB effect in college, and he has been dogshit in the NFL.

Orlovsky has now been doing this for about 7 years, I would be curious to see Orlovsky's record for claiming xxx if the best QB in the class over the years.

Dan is pretty damn sharp. He was the first national media person associated with NFL that was super high on Jaden Daniels coming out of CFB. He had an awesome X post breaking down that JD was already making NFL reads in his last year at LSU. And then had a breakout rookie season.

I don't have any issue with what he said here about Simpson.

I wasn't shitting on him I was legitimately curious to see what he has said.

I tried to search and the only QBs I could find him "speak highly of" going into the draft was Caleb & Pickett. Although Pickett was more like, he's not a great QB, he's just the best of a shitty group

They need people to tune in for the Draft, and having the worst QB class in awhile doesn't help

Dan O is a retard and has giant ears.

Was only hired and has a job because of the Woke time period ESPN went through along with the COVID situation....

Dude is known for running out the back of the endzone resulting in a safety... i mean, lol c'mon? Anyone wanting to listen to that guy talk has not alot of sense of the game they are watching.

Considering this and the fact that he was held together with duct tape by the end of the year with all the undisclosed injuries, it's not far-fetched to predict that he'll do well in the league. Teams could do a lot worse than a smart, coachable guy with a solid arm and sneaky mobility.

Just praying he doesn't go to the Raiders or Jets.

I think the Steelers should trade up to the #8 pick so they can get Ty.
