People don’t care that we killed a mullah in iran, they don’t care that we sunk their navy, they don’t care that they hanged a wrestler. Tragic, sure. So what, the world is full of daily tragedies. And people already know our military is good at blowing things up.

They care about how much gas costs, how much food costs, how much insurance and health care costs, how much money they’re making, how much their rent is, if they can afford a house, etc. This is especially true during an election year, and extra especially true this election year.

And we start a war in the Middle East lol.

They may argue on the fringes about things tax rates and what to spend money on, but they both drive up deficits?

The "Republicans" in the House and Senate prefer to be in the minority so I am not sure the timing of the Iran skirmish matters. I don't know how old you are but I remember 1979 and this should have been done many years ago before they were able to build up enormous support in their country for the radical nonsense they profess. A country of 85 million essentially unarmed populous can't overtake what was built over these years. If you don't think they want us dead and were steadily working on ways to make that happen then you are incredibly naive. We have been fighting Hezbellah, Houthis and Hamas for years. They go away without the Iran regime funding them. Something good needs to happen really quick to salvage the midterms and I think it can happen but if the Iran threat is gone forever, then I'll take that too, even if it makes it easier for the Republicans to throw the election. Remember in 2024 when Lyndsey Graham introduced a nationwide abortion ban in the Senate right before the election? Lead from behind is their mantra. Makes no sense but apparently he can make more money throwing money at Ukraine. It's frustrating as hell but they are the enemy from within as bad or worse than the Demoncrats.
