Hurts let down by the same lineman

Hurts has actually won titles in the NFL. They are not the same.

Speaking of Joe Burrow, he's on mini-Dicaprio type run with smokeshows lately.

Team USA is running at 100% effort. The NFL players are running around like they don't want to blow an ACL

It’s pure arrogance for these NFL guys to think they should get the Olympic spots over the guys that do this everyday.

They're also better prepared and more skilled at the unique abilities one needs to be successful at flag football.

Margins are way too close against NFL players half assing it in the dead of the offseason with no practice

Very little doubt the 10-man Olympic roster will be NFL players. It’s just a question of how many token picks

39-14 and 43-16 ain't exactly close in flag football...

ETA: championship game was closer obviously, but these guys still beat NFL players. Maybe with more prep the NFL guys would perform better.

But also, why would any NFL team let any of their stars play in the summer olympics? This was several months before the season, and I'm still shocked franchises allowed it. I can't imagine Cincinnati actually allowing Burrow to play flag football in the Olympics just a few months before the season.

Is the NFL running it and going to force franchises to allow some legit stars to play?

Burrow telegraphed it, and then threw it with zero sense of urgency and just lolly gagged it.

I don’t like how narrow the field is.

Why do NBA owners let superstars play?

NFL owners have a major vested interest in growing the game of football globally. They don’t care if some middling QB of a .500 franchise gets hurt, they’ll put asses in seats and sell $15 beers and take in billions in TV revenue shares regardless.

If anything it’s a wake-up call that the NFL players can’t half arse it to earn the bid

The NFL is the entity most responsible for it being in the Olympics and the owners already approved player attendance
