Just a shot in the dark here. I really don't like trying new things especially food. Sounds like it could be good. Could be.

Nope and I love Jimmy John’s for what it is but not getting a gyro there.

I had it last week. It was delicious but very messy

Edit to say it was so good that if I’m in the mood for a gyro I’d go back to Jimmy John’s at this point bc I think the scene in BR is slumping at the moment

Once your expectations are lowered to fast food, how is a cheap, fast deli sandwich that much different than a cheap fast gyro?

Breakfast buffet followed by a round of golf was always great!

Yes huh. The spots in town aren’t as good as they were 6-7 years ago

I was skeptical before ordering but it was better than I expected. I will get it again.

BTW, I got it toasted and added hot peppers. T’was a pleasant surprise.

It's a gyro. It better be dripping some grease and tzatziki sauce.

Completely agree. Not sure if all the older generation of people who used to be in these kitchens are gone, but the quality and flavor has gone down significantly.

I saw it advertised but JJ by me is in the same building as the best Shrawna/gyro shop in the region. So I don't know if I'll ever try it.

Sad to see so many say BR's med-food scene has died off. Back in the day BR had so many options while NOLA area had Byblos and Monas. Now we have tons of good options. But Kabob House on vets at Houma is outstanding.

If you're strictly talking about gyros - all they are doing is buying a cone and slapping it on the spit and there are only about 4-5 companies who supply them.

100% opposite even though that's the correct pronunciation. I intentionally pronounce it like gyroscope because I don't want to sound like I'm trying too hard.

I cant patronize a chain sandwich place trying to do gyro's.
If i dont see the big block of processed meat, i dont want it.

I tried it and liked it a lot more than I thought I would

I love a cheap gyro though (and a not so cheap gyro)
