Sounds like a school where rich Southern kids who couldn’t get into the Ivy League or Vandy would go.

Man, I’m so sick of class envy pushed by these out of touch wacko leftists. Oh they offer housing and have a steal restaurant on campus. It costs $40,000/year so it must be for rich white kids whose family is only wealthy because the dad is crooked or screwed over the poor man, or cheated his way to riches. I’ve been to High Point, NC. It’s a neat town but definitely nothing special. It is, or at least was the furniture making center of the country. Before our politicians fricked us of course. So there are plenty of people with money around there.

built an "airplane-cabin interior" so that students could rehearse sitting next to an executive on a plane.
Aren’t you supposed to just coddle these executives and be supportive in everything they say while kissing their arse so deep that you need a towel to wipe your face afterwards.
I wonder if they get a real executive to teach that course. It should be called Speech 369 - Executive Arse Kissing in a Plane.

Went to basketball camp there in 6th grade. Coulda been me…
Also, just looked it’s 70k per year to go there I guess that’s a bargain compared to 90k at wake or duke but Christ, when I was growing up there, high point was about as prestigious as the university of phoenix online.

Yeah the town itself is kinda rough in spots, just like a lot of college towns

My daughter was interested in going there until she realized they didn’t offer her major.

They have a free ice cream truck that drives around campus, which is awesome

High Point’s is 77%.
Also, High Point’s endowment is ~ $200 Million (largely tied in with alum and donor wealth). For reference, Vanderbilt’s is $10.9 Billion, UGA’s is $2.18 Billion, UNC’s is $6.22 Billion, and
Washington & Lee’s is $2.19 Billion.
High Point has more in common than Loyola of New Orleans (93% acceptance rate; $245 Million) than Vanderbilt or any Ivy's…

Place markets hard. My kids started getting shite from them while they were sophomores in high school. Close to once a week.

Its a good enough school, one of the last holdouts against wokeism on a college campus, but it is a little cultish
