Sure, he’s struggled a little prior to tonight. But the kid is a strike machine.

His curve was really on tonight. It's definitely the best I've seen it working all year. He could throw it for a strike when he wanted to and it looked sharp.

He looked like 2025 Casan again, which was great.

He pitched like a damn ace tonight. Glad to see him rebound from last week.

The key with this guy is obvious. When he has good control he's a true ace.

Yep so here is the thing. If pitching decides to get out of their own asses this team has the tools on offense to click. The offense will click. Its an eventuality.

Pitching will dictate the success. Moore Schmidt and Evans are really good. If they turn it on. And you get like 2 more bullpen arms to turn it on...this team can hit 2025 level depending on how luck favors them

He did a damn good job tonight. Couldn’t be happier for the kid and this team.

Big night for Casan. We have a chance to have a solid starting group.

Another good outing for Cowan, too. I thought it would be good to save Cowan since we had such a big lead, but it was good to see him with good stuff again. He is looking like the guy that fools batters again. When he is on, his delivery is hard for hitters to pick up.

In his post game interview Casan said Jay adjusted his pregame prep by increasing the pace of his pitch delivery.
(Sooners tried multiple times to break Evan's rhythm)

Disagree. Our defense is too bad and that’s unfixable for the most part.

Yap, he worked faster. He did not nibble like he did last weekend, and his pitch mix seemed to feature more offspeed. He is at best attacking hitters in the zone like he did last night. He doesn't need to nibble ever.

He was fricking dialed in. When he got going, you could feel the confidence he had. He was in the zone, it was awesome to watch

If he can keep this up, i was completely wrong about him. Just didnt seem like to have the full starter makeup through last weekend this year and just absolutely dominated OU. Hope to see that continue. Great to see him make some changes to approach.

He definitely threw the curve ball well but his "changeup" is straight filth when he has command/feel for it. And it was last night.

Yep...combine his command last night with his fast pace and its a hitters worst nightmare.
