Only those with skin in the game should have been told. The only other country that meets this criteria is Israel.

Ok. For you trogs, let me spell this out. Japan started the war. I have little sympathy for them reaping its rewards, although as someone who aspires to be a Christian, I wish we hadn't had to kill so many civilians for their Emperor to end it. But I also would not call what Japan got as having "had it easy".
