It's going to be more difficult for Coach Mulkey to keep players from the WNBA.

The verbally agreed to 2026 WNBA Collective Bargaining Agreement has fundamentally restructured the league's financial model. The new agreement includes a massive increase in Salary Cap, Minimum Salaries, and Supermax Salaries.

I don't know much about WNBA salaries other than 98% of them make less than kindergarten janitors, but I know that that salary cap is 100% a fake arse number that is for show only.
ETA: That new minimum salary... most teams right now apparently operate with 11 roster members. I would imagine that would shrink even further with a minimum salary of 300 grand. There will be even less players who make it longer than 3 days in the WNBA than currently do.

WNBA will be more profitable than ever!

All I know is we better not up our NIL due to this. Womens basketball loses a ton of money and we have many other areas that these funds could go to.

Why would it be an issue for you if someone wants to give any athlete more money for NIL?

Do you think NIL agreements impact profitability?

it's still a hard league to make until they expand # of teams
You may have some players that go pro early instead of staying all 4 years

Because he’s getting rev share and NIL mixed up.
We absolutely should not increase their rev share.

Women aren’t going to go pro after one or two seasons. They’re also more marketable at schools like LSU and South Carolina than a WNBA franchise.

Unless they changed the rule with this CBA, the WNBA restricts players in the United States from entering the draft either before the year they turn 22 or graduate early.

I assumed as much

We will use the same percentages that everyone else does.

There's only 36 players taken in the draft. How many you think will leave earlier?

Just keep the dildos flying.
That’s priority

If this comes to pass it will affect every coach with draft worthy players, not just Mulkey. There is no early entry at present unless the player is 22, The portal is a bigge concern but the only expected contributor lost was Samiyah Smith.

It’s a shame the NBA doesn’t have the balls to pull the plug on this farce of a league. You damn well behind closed doors ever NBA owner is cursing the day they signed off on supporting this crap. Now the leftist have made it political suicide for them to quit funding it.

Why does money keep get poured into a sport that is very uninteresting to most people and has vary poor ratings nationally?
