Hopefully he’s the same CJ as he was here.

He has 12 walks and 34 Ks in 23.2 innings pitched. Seems like he's dialed it in a bit, hopefully he is amped up and is wild tonight.

LSU's luck will be just like any other pitcher that was "supposed" to be less than good. He is going to come in and throw like Sam Dutton did last year for Auburn.

I hope he doesn't but that is LSU's luck.

LSU – So. RHP Casan Evans (1-0, 6.45 ERA, 22.1 IP, 12 BB, 35 SO)
OU – Jr. LHP Cameron Johnson (3-0, 3.04 ERA, 23.2 IP, 12 BB, 34 SO)

Just put that there to where when people dog on Cam, they might want to look at what he is throwing against. Doesn't look to pretty.

Yeah, he had a reasonable 5 walks in like 21 innings before blowing up against A&M.

Being the most recent game, and coming back to BR, there's going to be a lot going on mentally for him tonight. I have a feeling we're going to be very patient at the plate.

If he puts it all together tonight and shuts out the noise from the last outing and the return to BR and pitches well, his draft stock should soar. That kind of mental strength would be looked on very highly. And if he beats us throwing strikes, with all that pressure, hat tip to him.

With first SEC home series tonight this will be the turning point of this season to start kicking arse.

I'm more concerned with Evans coming out and having an ace type start
That would bode well for LSU with all the upcoming sec series

Why so angry lol? The kid couldn’t harness his potential here and moved on. Probably was told he would have a lesser role if he stayed. GEAUX TIGERS!!

At least we don't have an annoying, distracting "Oklahoma Whistler" to contend with

Considering how these things usually go with ex players, he will have the game of his life. We just hope to end up winning the game at the end.

Because he is pitching against LSU and LSU needs to win badly.

While I feel ya and know you’re kinda being sarcastic here, it’s hard to complain about bad luck when it comes to LSU baseball.

We are probably the only college baseball program where there is a common feeling outside LSU circles that somehow/someway it’s going to “go right” for LSU. We are the program that is well known for things going our way in baseball, even if sometimes it’s unexplainable.
