No, no it doesn't. There are some within Trump's appointees that are either weak or establishment or both. Better to weed them out than keep them.

I'd say he's right. This is the first serious fissure I've seen in the MAGA base.
Fortunately, the Democrats are evil loons to such a point that they are not a viable alternative.
So, for example, former Democrats that voted for Trump, I don't see them going back to Democrats. I could, however, see them not voting for Republicans, especially if Republicans continue to slide back to neoconservatism.

The old guard is engaged in the folly of attempting to "speak it into existence", believing that if they say something often enough it will somehow come into being.
I don't know anything about this Kent arsehole, but anyone who resigns by releasing a political statement and immediately runs to any and every news outlet or podcaster for their 15 minutes is nothing but a political operative. It's painfully obvious.
And maybe he's right. This war is unnecessary and we may regret it. If your conscious tells you that you can't be a part of it, fine. Leave, but don't become a pundit and feign sanctimony on your way out of the door.
