Agreed, his whole world is a bit darker now.

I know we won't get this, but I would love if they continued to use Holland for years as a Peter/Spiderman who grew up, became an adult, maybe married, maybe had kids and then retired to turn the reigns over to someone else (queue: Miles Morales). This was where they should be heading in the comics, but the idiots at Marvel (and DC, to be fair) have decided to keep their characters in this age-range bubble which eventually ends up being problematic when you are trying to tell the story of this character's life.
