To the people saying that we are going to wait until April 1st to get a coach, what planet are you on? Every coach willing to make a move will be long gone by then. Basketball hires are made in the next two weeks, depending on when your target gets knocked out of the tournament.

Verge may not realize it yet - but if he gets hamstrung into keeping MM and they make him eat it, they're absolutely putting a knife in his back. Just think: If Lane ends up with a few 9 win seasons and Jay continues whatever his issues are, this auto-strike 1 that the LSU BOS are putting around his neck is gonna seem pretty unfair down the road.

So easy to spend other people's money, right?
If the financiers tell me I have to wait another year before getting a new coach, then I'll accept it. I'm not the one paying for it.

With the NC state season done we can now fire the McLoser and then hire Wade April 1.
Also NC State would be smart to waive the buyout/lower it so they aren’t stuck trying to make a hire in mid April with bigger mid major names gone.
