It's odd that we are approaching a week since the end of basketball, and there have been no public comments on the future of LSU basketball. No vote of confidence, no we expect improvement next season, no nothing.

Or did I miss something?

He made a statement saying that every complaint about MBB on the Rant would get McNuggets a 1 day extension.

So, it looks like he will be coaching for the next 1.46 x 10^48 years.

Save yourself the mental energy. It’ll be McMahon next year.

Let me know how it goes. I’ll be checked out.

We're not that lucky. You'll continue cheering for LSU to lose because you're not a fan.

No I truly won’t care anymore. I won’t even know their record. I will just know it is bad. You’ll still be on here one year from now trying to frantically defend yet another 3-15 SEC finish and crying into the wind that your loser needs more time.

Have fun!

Once again, why would a statement be made on a basketball coach who is under contract for the next few years?

This isnt a BK situation.

Anything statement that isn't firing him will look dumb since he said they would have to re-evaluate McMahon if we didn't make the tourney.

Has anyone in the local media asked about the future of the program? I guess everyone is just hoping that the tens of us who care about basketball will just go away.

You expect any of those jokes to ask any hard hitting questions? They always nervously stammer when asking McMahon any other question. No way in hell will they ask anything that would be seen as rocking the boat.

Because everyone knows how dog shite of a state the program is in right now. This is atypical. There is a legitimate apathy running through the veins of a PROFITABLE/revenue generating sport.

Our AD is apparently disinterested too in his inherited bottom dweller languishing around program with no hope in sight.

IMO, Because there has been no statement publicly , there may be some truth to the WW interest.

Think we're keeping everything mum until NC State's season ends, which could be as early as tonight

Question we really should be asking is: will any mid-major coach we hire if we can McMahon generate the donor support and excitement for the program like Wade returning can? If the answer's no, then we need to pull all stops to get Wade back and make him say no. We hit on Wade but clearly didn't on McMahon and McMahon was a successful mid-major coach. This has to factor into our approach for men's basketball going forward.

We blew it last year with BOTH Wade and Bucky McMillan, I'm not sure who the mid-major coach this year is to bring back excitement and big donor support for the program.

The LSU admin made a statement last year. I would expect another one this year. Again I think they are waiting until their list of potential candidates finish up March Madness.

Like it or not, this is just reality... With having to pay players now millions, unless someone steps up.. He will be here next year, we are already eating money for having to fire BK/staff and hire Kiffin/staff.
