I watched that newscast live, no shite. Couldn't believe they aired it but they always did a little funny thing. Little did I know I was watching internet history. I was in Chicago a couple of years later and saw the leprechaun sketch on a t-shirt up there. It's wild how something on a late newscast got so big

I actually caught these beads Saturday at the Baton Rouge St. Paddy's Day parade. No one in my sad group knew the story.

I used to think that the popularity of this video would eventually wane. But I swear it’s somehow gotten itself just engrained in pop culture, especially around St Patrick’s Day. I see the sketch t-shirts more and more each year. I think Mobile will be attached to this forever

It was just such an amazing combination of situation and characters. You couldn’t have scripted it better.
