They could vote on the House bill without the filibuster even being relevant. And the bill would pass with only 50 senate votes.

But they are not doing that. So what they're doing now (which is not what is described above) is just theater for us rube taxpayers.

Republicans are entirely performative. There is no serious opposition to the growth of the polyglot, multicultural welfare/warfare state.

I’ve voted for Trump three times and this term has been a disaster. DOGE didn’t even last three months, deportations are historically low compared to other presidents, we retreated from Minnesota after enough militant, wacky leftists complained, and now we’re doing Israel’s bidding in the Middle East. All the while, Trump and the Republican Congress are pretending cost of living issues don’t exist anymore.

That’s very well stated, and undeniably true. Same here. Obviously, Kamala was not an option and this is still better than having her, but this is a massive disappointment.

Actually most elected representatives in DC hate you regardless of yours or their political affiliation, as long as you are someone who has a vested stake in society and shows up to vote on common sense, kitchen table issues. That's why illegal immigrants and poor, low information people are their favorites. No threat to show up at the polls.

The only difference is that Democrats in DC have basically stopped pretending this isn't true, while the Republicans keep up the charade of caring about you.

Well...except that most of it is demonstrably false.

Only low IQ supporters left on the MAGA train. Bibi made him go to war with Iran. Sad.

What?

You still have to have cloture (60 votes) to stop debate and move to a vote on any legislation in the Senate l, regardless of where the bill originates. Did you not watch the shutdown fight in October? Those funding bills came from the House and were filibustered in the Senate.

DOGE is still there and DOGE was created before Trump. You realize the uniparty RINOS in Congress refused to pass the DOGE recommendations, right? You fricking moron.
