I’ve seen this happen since at least 2005. So not a new thing.

She probably thinks she's clever.
She's not. She's just another dumb thief.

Most of the hotel breakfast are either honey buns and a waffle maker, or the ones that serve "hot" food are horrible.

I know a guy who makes really good money who would brag about doing this on the way to work.
He’s sleazy and dishonest though so it kinda fits his personality.

I couldn't imagine being trashy enough to think doing something like this is ok
The food just isn't good enough to make this worth it anyways

This has been happening for years. Hotel staff is aware of it and probably runs them off, when noticed.

Going out of your way to get free powdered eggs and a dry arse biscuit is a level of desperation I never want to experience.

Next time you travel stay at a Drury Inn.
You can thank me after you have had their breakfast bar.
They also do a happy hour in the afternoon with 3 comp drinks per night's stay and snacks to go along with it.
Rates are reasonable and rooms/hotel are always clean and safe too.

I stay in hotels a lot, and more of them are requiring a keycard to enter all doors all hours of the day with a phone to use if you are checking in.
I feel this will start becoming mainstream, especially as it offers more security for floor access as well.

It's entitlement. Just like it usually is with people of her....persuasion.

I’ve thought about this but never actually done it because I’m not a trash piece of shite. Some places make you check in and give a room number, but not the cheaper ones.

Or they will either move it to a room that uses a key card
Or like the last one I stayed at
Charge for breakfast (and it was a good one) except for those with a voucher, which they gave us at check-in

For all their issues, European hotel breakfast blows us out of the water.

The amount of effort they spend chasing free shite could easily be put forth towards a career instead

I don't usually eat food where anybody can walk by and screw with it before I get to it.

I did this once circa 2016ish at a hotel on n rampart. I thought I found a life hack. Never went back though! Figured they would catch on eventually!
