I will preface this by saying Auburn does not deserve to be in the tournament.

Miami of Ohio does not deserve to be in the tournament because they went undefeated against a bunch of stiffs. Their Net ranking doesn’t sniff being a NCAA tournament team and their schedule was atrocious. Yes they can’t control their conference schedule but can control their non-conference schedule. Basketball schedules aren’t made years in advance and most are made during the spring/summer before the next season. They refused to play a road game at a quality opponent and did not try to play in a holiday tournament that could have given them quality games. If the NCAA committee puts them in the tournament they are basically telling non P4 schools just schedule as bad as you can and your non conference schedule doesn’t matter. There is nothing from an analytics or eye test that says they are one of the 37 best teams that did not win their conference
