I am bullish on AI, so I'm not a naysayer on it's benefits or abilities.
But we have a LOOOONNNNNGGGG way to go.
I use AI, over several of the different services, all the time. And while it has some functionality and is useful, it's not running shite any time soon.
It has major flaws and shortcomings. I wouldn't trust it for anything important.

As much as I’ve heard this guy talk I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say anything substantive.

So in the future the wealthiest will have the most access to the best stuff?
How is that different than today?

That depends on the speed at which it improves. It ain't my world but I've yet to see anybody claim it would be linear, and when it goes exponential that "any time soon" is going to vanish.

And the taxpayers are paying for it and suffering the consequences of polluted air/noise/loss of water pressure and exorbitant tax abatement's where they are being built.

The life cycle of an Ai datacenter seems to be ridiculously short.
The Nvidia chips are progressing so quickly that the datacenters are obsolete before they are even turned on.
This cash burn treadmill for Ai will never end

See there is AI at work, they just took an old article from the advent of computers and replaced the word "computers" with "AI".
AI is no different than computers, the internet, nuclear power, or vaccine technology. They can all be used for good or evil, doesnt mean you ban it over over regulate it.
All these doomsayers remind me of the church and Michelangelo or DaVinci. So afraid some of their power will be removed with these discoveries.

Doesn't AI pull it's "intelligence" from the internet that users submit? Will they get their cut?

I don't need to hear about my future from a guy who molested his own sister.
Early life is a yes btw.

"We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
We'll that does track with research that shows people who use AI for tasks tend to become less able to effectively perform those tasks without AI. And I've seen it about both creative endeavors and coding.
Another AI gift to the world!

Do you believe this? None of it makes sense but mainly the part where he is gay but also the part where the rest of the family said she's crazy and full of shite.

Let me introduce you to a guy who owns one of the largest social media platforms, changed its user policy so it requires users to forego any rights they have to their own content on the platform, created his own AI to mine that platform and content, and has advocated for the complete abolishment of all Intellectual Property laws.

the part where he is gay
And seeing as how grossly overrepresented in the pedo crime stats gay guys are, it tracks.
