On today’s pod he said he was told we are likely done spending “big” $$ and any additional signings would be depth or back of the roster guys.

What does this mean for Cam? My heart can only take so much. I get it, but it’s gonna be hard seeing Demario and Cam in another uniform. Taysom too for that matter.

He said he still thinks that gets done but is more questionable on it that he had been a few weeks ago

Another interesting nugget; Nick said he thinks based on what we’ve done he thinks we’ve likely added 1.5 to 2 wins and would have our o/u at 9.5

I want Cam back. He needs to be a lifelong Saint and he still has juice left. He led us in sacks last year and played better than Granderson. I think we need to bring him back to help the culture shift from Demario to whoever the new guys are going to be. Hopefully they get things worked out.

I love Cam and want him to finish his career as a Saints. With that said, since he wanted to test the FA market and did not sign before the new league year; I don't want him back for more than a low figure. The team will already have $18.8M in dead money tied to him, I wouldn't be willing to give him another $8-10+M on top of that.

I’d do 1 year $6 mil base salary with incentives that could raise it to $10 million. If he has another year like last year $10 million is s bargain, if not then you're out only $6 million and you're free after the season. Taysom holds a spot in my heart I’d love to have him back but I am not sure if he’s even decided if he’s going to play again. If he decides to and his knee checks out I’d give him a final year sendoff but it would need to be cheap. Maybe 1 year $5 million with $4 mil guaranteed.
