We have a lot of guys right now who should be batting 11th.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't like any of our transfers right now in the lineup. They're all suspect. They may have whiffed super hard in the portal this year and it's killer because the transfers out are performing great elsewhere.

I'd like to see Yamin get a shot at first base. This would be my lineup as such

1. Curiel CF
2. Milam SS
3. Brown RF
4. Yorke DH
5. Arrambide C
6. Carraway 3B
7. Simpson 2B
8. Yamin 1B
9. Stanfield LF

But if that were gonna happen, I would have expected to see it already. So I think more like this one:

1. Curiel CF
2. Milam SS
3. Brown RF
4. Yorke 1B
5. Dardar DH
6. Arrambide C
7. Carraway 3B
8. Simpson 2B
9. Stanfield LF

Stats do not back this up, right now.

With stanfield

1. Stanfield LF
2. Curiel CF
3. Brown RF
4. Milam SS
5. Yorke 1B
6. Steamed C
7. Dardar 2B
8. Carraway 3B
9. Braun/ Pearson DH

Not sure if I out Stanfield at 1 or 9

I do want him in at the top of the lineup, but he was find as a 9 hole second leadoff guy last year.

people who want to drop
Yorke… who do you want to replace him with?

Our issue is not having enough quality bats while giving ABs to

Yorke, Braun, Serna, Harden, Dardar, Simpson, Reaves, ruckert, Simpson,

Maybe put him at DH if you have a better defensive 1B in that group but out the lineup?

CF - Curiel
LF - Obviously Stanfield when he is healthy.
RF - Brown
SS - Milam
C - Arrambide
DH - Yorke

3B - Carraway
2B - Ruckert/Dardar
1B - Braun

Dardar, Simpson, Carraway, and Braun do not play well enough on either side to be everyday starters. I would like to see how Braun could play 1B, hes athletic so could get to more balls and likely field better than Yorke. Yorke has a good bat but is not good at 1B.

Yorke since the JAX series is hitting .200, but has a .400 OBP

He was trying to hit everything out the park, then we saw past night him stay within himself and shoot one through the 6 hole.

He actually had a decent series vs Sac St and a few clutch ABs

I'm really hoping that starts a turnaround for him.

Are acting like overly emotional women who judge someone based on one experience without regard to all the other evidence.

How about we look at a few objective parameters? Let's start by setting a qualifying number of ABs so we don't give too much weight to just a few at-bats. I think it's reasonable to use team games played x 2, so 34 ABs to qualify.

OPS:

#1 Brown - 1.292
#2 Yorke - .982

SLG%

#1 Brown - .817
#2 Arrambide - .537
#3 Yorke - .532

OB%

#1 Brown - .475
#2 Arrambide - .459
#3 Yorke - .455

BA%

#1 Brown - .408
#2 Curiel - .333
#3 - Braun - .275
#4 Yorke - ..273

If you dropped the qualifier to 1 AB (17 ABs on the season), he would stay in the same position for OPS and SLG% but drop 1 position for BA & OB%

You guys really are something else.

Yorke: 4th in batting average with people over 40 ab's
4th in runs scored
tied 3rd in hits
tied 5th in doubles
tied 7th in rbi's
tied 3rd in total bases
3rd in slugging %
tied 1st in hbp
tied 1st in bb
7th in k's (thats high) but simpson has 1 less with half the ab's
3rd in ob %

So please tell me are you sitting the other 5-6 players that are "worse" than him in hitting. If you look at the stats you probably wouldn't because of "who it is".
