Can he play D or do they just let him do his thing behind the 3? I will be honest, I am not a big fan of basketball being played behind the 3 point line, but good for those who are successful.

God.

I hated those guys in HS. They couldn't do anything else but shoot spot up 3s.

As a defender you want to play help defense because you know he isn't going to move.

But as soon as you sag, they would pop it out to him and that fat frick would rip it.

And then they would bully you with their weight on the other end for rebounds.

Hated those guys.

What are you confused about? I hated those type of guys from the opposite team perspective and guarding them/having them guard me.

When you are guarding a guy that doesn't move but you know he can shoot 3s, it takes you completely out of the defense or help defense. Its frustrating.

They were defensive liabilities except for rebounding.
