Shows he likely didn’t have a huge market for what he wanted to be paid. At his age he should be trying to squeeze out every last cent.

May not have wanted to. At some point the wheels will fall off, looks like Mickey betting it'll happen before Davis is done.

On the surface, it looks like signing him for that deal could have reduced his 2026 cap number.

I think his physical ability at this point is replaceable. It remains to be seen if that is the case regarding his pre-snap diagnosis and leadership.

Overrated as frick when you’re spending your entire life in pain. It’s still a job and fans care way more about this stuff than the players do. Especially in your late 30s
