Revolution is not happening. The Islamic regime doesn’t look to be going anywhere, whether it’s Mojtaba or his eventual successor(s).

Sure, their military has/will be completely decimated. Is that enough for Trump to claim victory and pack it up? I hope so, but his comments about wanting to pick the successor worries me.

Without a full-on revolution, you’re left with a beaten down Iran still led by radical muslims. 10 years from now, when they have rebuilt some of their military capabilities, we’ll be back to square one. I’m not sure this will go down as the success Trump was looking for, but I hope I’m wrong.

side note - what’s the deal with the Iranian people? do they want regime change or not? if they miss this opportunity, then I never want to hear about liberating them ever again.

I mean, we aren't done bombing yet. I wouldn't go outside if I were them either.

Some do and some don’t. Even if about 40% support it, I’m not sure that’s sufficient when roughly 30% of the country are very devout Muslims who support Sharia law.

Why do people keep asking this same ridiculous question. Bombs are still falling and they have been advised to stay out of the streets until it is safe to do so.

Let’s be honest, until the bombing is complete, the best we can do is speculate. We’ll see how things shake out once people start coming back out of their homes.

Even if you had 80% support a new/secular regime, 20% of a population being hardcore, extremist Muslims is going to derail that plan, and that's ignoring how the struggle will become the beacon for all Shia jihadists globally to come in and cause chaos

Based on how things are going this doesn't seem to be happening soon either.

Kegsbreath has promised 3-4 more weeks of bombing, so in about another month we'll see who's left to fight over the rubble in Tehran.

The best possible outcome is that Trump gets tired of it and stops it and claims victory no matter what the conditions on the ground are actually like. Actual regime change is a minuscule possibility. If we’re gonna do this we better seriously destroy any ability to create a nuclear weapon because clearly that’s the only way to stop this from happening.

If we send troops to Iran things are going to get filthy, for us and for them.

I don't think anyone knows.

Trump had an opportunity when he killed the Ayatollah but obviously decided to continue to bomb Iran.

The off-ramp will eventually present itself.

Let's just hope there is an off-ramp and not a cliff. The ME has a way of shitting on any plan that anybody comes up with.

It has been less than 10 days.

Yes they want change but the USA is telling them to stay home for now.

That isnt how revolutions happen. They dont "wait"

its been 9 days.

Where is the civilian uprising to defeat a 40 year regime? This will require hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of people.

Where are they?

Listen to what this lady is saying the Iranians are telling each other. Then ask why you don't think they're in the streets yet.

Well with the amount of missiles and drones Iran still has at it's disposal seems like we underestimated their stockpile and ability to use them. Combine that with the trouble we are having intercepting drones I don't see them running out soon. Especially when this 1 Million plus to produce an interceptor and 100k to produce the drone. Will it eventually happen? Yes, just might take longer than people thought.

This is always going to be the case…. In perpetuity.

Just pray that in 10 years you have a President willing to knock them back to no-nukes square one.
