Coming down for the LSU/Bama game

Will likely be staying at The Hilton Capitol Center

I figure ubering to the game will be fine, it’s from the game I’m wondering about.

Are we better off just walking to a bar and chilling out for an hour or two to let traffic filter out?

Do NOT want to walk 2.5 miles with two drunk women. Will post pics in exchange for good info, thanks.

We did it 2 years ago. You are correct in thinking it’s easy to uber to the game. After the game we ended up going back to a buddy’s rv spot at the softball fields and waiting a couple of hours. It was still hard to get one even after waiting.

It's easy to Uber to the game. It's harder to Uber back.

Pastime has a bus. You can walk the about 1 mile or take an Uber to Pastime and then pay to ride their bus. The bus will pick you up after the game and return you to Pastime. You can then either Uber back to the hotel/downtown or walk. (It will be much easier to get an Uber from Pastime).

Or, after the game you can walk from Pastime to the Casino which would only be a couple of hundred feet and then Uber from there later.

Going to is painless.

Going back: I would walk to Chimes or Walk-Ons chill and wait for uber while having a drink or food.

Walk On's is about a 20-minute walk (A little less than a mile?), Chimes is about a 15-minute walk( Just under 3/4 mile?), Murphy's is about a 10-minute walk (half mile?) across campus. All times and distances are estimations based on Google Maps. I've been to Chimes and Walk Ons, though not that one, but never been to Murphy's. They'll probably all be pretty busy, I would guess. I've never been to any of them right after a game.

Yep. They will all be slammed after the game. Walk-on's will have the outdoor set up so it will be a easier to get into and get a drink.

The trade off is that depending on where you sit, it is about a quarter a mile further walk to get there. Burbank and Nicholson will also be a shite show with traffic for much longer than the other areas, not a big deal since he would be somewhere having more drinks, but it will extend the amount of time it takes to get an Uber.

I always go to Walk-Ons and uber back. Keep in mind the contra-flow traffic depending on where your trying to get

I hope this helps. We did it and we asked the driver if he was okay if we got his number for pickup after the game. He was cool about it and we tipped him pretty good but we had a ride sitting there. Good luck

We walk down towards walk ons and blazin hot chocolate, grab some food and drinks and don't typically have an issue find an Uber afterwards. Definitely gotta get away from tiger stadium to get an uber.Uber.

Pro tip: if you get a cool Uber driver going in get his/her number and tell them you give them cash for whatever the current rate is if they will come pick you up after the game. A lot of them are willing to do that because the entire amount goes to them.

Uber about an hour or 2 before the gane and you'll be fine. Then after the game walk off campus to have a few drinks for an hour or 2 after the game. After that you should have no issue getting an Uber. Just make sure you dont stay out close to 2am when the bars close. You'll be screwed on ubers again!

That hotel advertises fairly heavily as a place to stay for LSU football games. I would check to see if they have some kind of shuttle between the game and the hotel….

Contraflow exit traffic has no inbound routes to LSU Campus for at least 1-1.5 hrs after the game so there is no Uber/Lyft service on campus until then

My advice

Go to pastime and ride the bus to the game

$20/per person

The bus picks you up in a designated spot and brings you back to pastime

Get a postgame pizza

Walk to Bally’s and gamble

Uber back to your hotel from Bally’s

Do NOT try to walk, and under NO circumstances, try to walk via Highland. That area heading downtown between I-10 and campus is the straight up hood.

Haven’t been to a game in awhile so will let others opine but don’t walk.

There used to be a shuttle from that hotel that ran back and forth before, during and after the game. I don’t know if it still runs though.

Yea just beware the rate will be extremely high. But for a short distance doesn’t matter i guess. Also, you’ll want to walk to a place not so crowded the uber cant find you or get stuck in traffic in its own right. Imo you should uber…. But chill a while on campus before ordering it
