I’ve posted my situation on here in the past and tried to rectify things with the wife since but it doesn’t look like it’s going to work out.
Who is the best divorce attorney in St. Tammany? I know I’m fricked, just trying to lessen the blow.

If you have kids, they are always the biggest losers in a divorce. If you were in Tyler, Texas I would point you to hire Michael Jarrett.

You need to talk to every good divorce lawyer in the area so your wife cant use them
I learned this from Tony Soprano

Well that depends what all is at stake. I won every time she brought me to court. EVERY time.

Remember the first consolation if free. I would interview at least 3 lawyers before making a decision. Just a word to the wise, wait until you have at least 10-15 questions for you lawyer before calling them. They typically charge by the hour with a 30 minute minimum.

Good advice. I need someone to talk to about kids, finances, the house, etc.

Probably the one she has.

I don’t doubt this. But I’m fairly certain they see what’s going on. They’re paying a price right now for our shitty relationship. While it will turn our lives upside down, I honestly believe they will be better for it down the road.

I know a guy who has used Craig Hart three times.

She doesn’t know it, but I know which atty she will use. Apparently she’s got a good one. I’d like to see if her atty’s name pops up here.

And men basically get divorced raped most of the time. Also the men almost never get custody so I’d say the women come out the best especially considering they initiate 70-80% of the time.

You better get a good one. One who is a shark and has no conscience. Unless you are going to do some kind of meditation which most women don’t want you need a great attorney.

HIGHLY unlikely and not what I experienced.
I made a list of 5 lawyers and went by their office. Set an appointment to meet. That first appoint was completely free. If a second was needed they charged. My retainer fee was $3500.

First the attorneys are going to prolong the divorce to take as much money as possible. Then your wife is going take a much as possible of the current assets and you're future earnings.
You'll be starting over with a nicer truck. Also, the kids will blame themselves and unfortunately one of them will go off the rails.
My advice would be to sit down with her and make a more than reasonable offer.
