Building up to it, as a handful of po'd, psychotic terrorist Jihadis could kick it off. And we would not know who to hold responsible. "Wars and rumors of wars..." and "when they say peace, peace...sudden destruction cometh" as per the Biblical narrative.
I suspect that the Jews have told the Sunnis/Shias that ANY devastating attack on Israel by ANY Muslim entity will result in an all-out retaliatory strike on Muslim Nations/Populations and Holy Sites across the Globe. Maybe China/Russia as well. Submarine mechanisms employed, with no quarter. This would be the only true policy which would lend skin in the game to Muslims or Commies who might plead 'plausible deniability' and give their 'enthusiastic brethren' slack to plot. Albeit it will never be made public.
I hope somebody can convince me that this is not the common sense case.

Based on what the media has said, this is WWV. WWIII was with IRAN when Trump bombed their nuclear enrichment sites. That war lasted about 6 minutes. WWIV was Venezuela. That one lasted a few hours.
