That atmosphere was cool as shite. We looked like arse, but their team and fans came to play. For all the bitching we do about football and how NIL is ruining everything it was nice to know college baseball can still bring it when it comes to passion.

We’ll be fine. Whatever.

Gotta admit, I’ve never thought of shite as being cool.

Most smaller schools have fans turn out when they face Top-5 teams regardless of the sport

It was a fun time despite the LSU struggles. Much more civil than past road trips that I have watched there. Other than the exhibitions we played there last year, it was my first complete game at the renovated ballpark and an enjoyable time even with the Tiger loss.

Props to the Cajun team and fans as it seemed like they wanted it more than us. It's time for this team to regroup and focus on fundamentals. We are pressing entirely too much at the plate and our defense needs to be shored up quickly.

Cajuns fan here. Last night was awesome atmosphere. Some light hearted ribbing but nobody acting like assholes (that I saw). I expected more purple and gold but the ones that were there were loud as hell after that homerun.

Cajuns facilities have a habit of shitting the bed at big events like this but seemed like they handled concessions like a boss for this one.

Hope both teams go on a deep run -- would be awesome to steal a regional host spot and avoid Alex Box

That’s football games at Cajun Field. Over the past 20 years, logistics has shite the bed every single time other than the SBC Champ game vs App State. Almost like the administration said “Fine. We’ll give maximum effort this one time for Napier’s last game and to finally win so you idiot fans can stop complaining”.

At the Tigue, however, it’s typically been good facilities game day execution. The Regionals and the Super vs Ole Miss we hosted were done well.

It was great. Wish it would have been a more competitive game. Gotta tip my hat to the Cajun team response after we scored, they came right back and shut down the Tiger noise. Glad that Jay plays these in state road games. It felt similar to a SEC road game with the amped up atmosphere.

It was great. I only went once to concessions and the restroom once to piss, but there was no line either time. But wow the freaking restroom was so clean that one could have sat down and taken a good dump. Cupholders in the stall, seats raised so they stay clean and all paper products in stock.

They did an excellent job with the refurbishment and whatever vendor provides janitorial cleanup blows Jani-King, the company that works Alex Box, out of the water. Absolutely no complaints about anything inside of Russo Park.

Same. It does both programs justice if they both keep winning. The Tigue could easily handle that task should the Cajuns keep rolling.

You’re missing the point of the OP, he simply saying that because it was a major school who came to town, the fans and players both showed up … and they kicked our arse

I think everybody would agree that it’s not the same if ULL was their opponent

wow!
145,000 tickets sold for all of 2014!!!!

man, it's gonna take LSU until at least March 8th, maybe even all the way the way to March 10th to hit that number this year.

Their game experience is fun and vibrant. LSU is amazing when the stakes are high and the box is rocking.

I hate ULL with a passion, but watching a game there is a good experience and their fans know how to cut up.

That being said, and ULL can STTDB.

Ole big Jerry in the section 13, row 5 was one of them. He did alright at DH for ULL. Ole Ernie from 4 rows up in section 3 was another one they called into the dugout around the 7th inning. I think Ernie mostly just warmed up in their bullpen in case they needed him to close in the 9th.
