Trump got into the WH in 2016 not knowing the full breadth of the corruption. He didn’t have a good team set up, he didn’t have a plan for dealing with those who attacked him.

Having the election stolen in 2020 gave him very important time. Time to think. Time to plan. Time to vet his cabinet.

It’s working out pretty damn well.

We are now 36 trillion in debt. Its not a blessing, you are just coping. Our country was stolen from us and our treasury emptied. All of our savings accounts and 401ks were slashed in half in terms of purchasing power. All those hours worked, for nothing.

In retrospect, it's certainly working out for the better long term but it's still unsettling to know a US election was straight up rigged in 2020 and not one person went to prison with the exception of a few on the right who challenged the rigged election.......they went to prison

I've been saying the Democrats wished for the 2020 win on a monkey's paw.

purchasing power, not dollars. do you know the difference?

eta: 100 dollars at grocery store today vs 7 years ago. How full are your baskets going to be for each?

You would have to spend 250 bucks to buy what cost you 100 just a few short years ago.

I am appreciative of that thought myself - he is on a mission and knows who the majority of the enemies are and what their preferred weapons look like.
And he also knows the most trashy of the bunch that he can lambast anytime he needs a 'talking point' to gather thoughts.
He knows the snakes in his own party and how to minimize them. He knows the strong characters who can withstand the known attacks they will receive.

Above all - he has the convictions of a man who knows he was cheated, knows who did it, and knows where to look to find out the details of how they did so they could fashion techniques & laws to prevent/minimize a recurrence.

I sincerely hope he succeeds fully - and rubs the noses of the major felons in the dirt.

No, no it wasn’t. We could have fixed so much more stuff in 2020-2024.

Why are all you TDS'ers so smug? I certainly do. My cost of living has not gone up 300K per year.

My wife and I grow a big garden each year. Fertilizer has gone up, but not all that much. Costs to grow food is pretty stable for us anyway. What we buy at the store has gone up, this is true. However, assuming we spent 600 a month on food previously and 1200 today that is an annual increase of $7200. My 401K increase in 2025 was 40+ times what the increase in food costs.

I'll take a 7200 increase in food costs AND a 300K increase in 401K balance anyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Thanks. Thing is it's not just me, everyone else that has a 401K got a huge return last year.

Because I can understand that if my savings has gone up 40+times what my food costs have I'm better off?

You can take it that way if you want. Some people will complain no matter what. Me, I'm more of a cup half full kinda guy. I no longer have problems getting to the grocery items because there is a Cinco-De-Mayo family reunion blocking every friggin isle. Most of the time, there are only a couple non-native-english-speaking folks there now. Where a year and a half ago there would have been dozens and dozens of families blocking the isles. For that, I'll gladly pay a bit more.

By the way, if you put more into your 401k you could benefit too.

The stock market, outside of brief periods, has consistently outpaced inflation, even in the Biden era. The S&P 500 has been getting 10-20%+ returns since 2020, so I'm pretty confident that 401ks aren't the problem.

Now, if your 401k was all bonds, inflation would suck. Or if you wanted to talk about wage growth being outpaced, you might have a better point. But right now, 401ks are one of the main things helping people keep up with inflation, so I don't know what point you're making

No shite. He really cant see beyond his own experiences. Talk about wearing blinders

Imagine saving up to buy a home in 2019, only to see the down payment amount double in three years and the interest rate skyrocketing

yeah but that 300k i made in the stock market this past year means inflation never happened and its not that big a deal guys. Im rich bitch!
