Dixieland Delight and Song of the South are my two favorites. Somebody give me a deeper cut that is a banger that might not be as popular.

Mildly to modestly, at times.

80's

Incredibly Big - from wiki: 27 country No. 1 hits, seven multi-platinum albums

But 80's was the decade I unplugged so not so much for me. Should have made one of these but never did....

quote:

The band knew they wanted to give back to their hometown, so in 1982 they came up with the idea to bring together the biggest names in country music for a charity concert event. They called it the June Jam, and on June 4, 1982 the first benefit concert was held in Fort Payne with over 30,000 fans in attendance.

The concert became an annual event, and was held on a hill near Fort Payne Middle School. Every June, pride filled the hearts of everyone from Fort Payne. By 1991, the June Jam had reached over 67,000 fans in attendance, and featured acts such as: Garth Brooks, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, The Judds, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Wayne Newton, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Charley Pride, and Willie Nelson. The last June Jam was held on June 21, 1997 but the legacy of this momentous event lives on.
You couldn't escape them they were everywhere you turned.

They are a band. Most country music is sung solo. Just because they had numerous crossover type hit songs isn’t a negative. Yep… you’re take is wrong

Amen brother.

And they played shitty Peavey guitars through even shittier sounding Peavey amps. Automatic radio station change for me.

So did pretty much every other genre except hip hop. It’s not Alabamas fault that they were successful with their own sound.

I just don’t see the rationale behind blaming certain artists for killing parts of music industry.

They were ok. Some catchy songs.
Don’t think awesome would be the adjective I would choose.
