Damn! Just close the store and keep paying rent. How long can the lease be and how much each month?

Targets not even actually using the space any longer.

The mega-retailer made the decision to end the lease at the City Center building last month, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Target moved its operations out of the building five years ago during the coronavirus pandemic, but never returned. Target had been in the building since it opened in 1983.

Smart move. They will also do away with many of those jobs and let AI do them at a fraction of the cost. The world we live in now.

The main Target headquarters is in another part of Minneapolis. These were supplemental offices. Employees quit coming to this space during Covid, and never fully returned there. I’m guessing that proved to Target the space wasn’t necessary.
