Has a black DC and OC.

USA today article on the hires

Hope they do well. I can't figure out if Deion is a good HC and limited by the university or if his kids made him look good.

Colorado hasn't been a bastion of success the last 20+ years, but two 1-8 conference records in three years is not good

Is it really making history if it’s already been done?

It's not clear how many other times this has happened at the highest level of college football, but it is rare. In 2024, Syracuse had two Black coordinators under head coach Fran Brown, who is Black. In 2012, Stanford also had a Black head coach (David Shaw) with an offensive coordinator (Pep Hamilton) and defensive coordinator (Derek Mason) who are Black.

Prime needs to worry more about winning instead of “making history”

I wanted him as Cleveland’s HC for full entertainment effect.

This is so weird to me. Who cares? Imagine if I made a big deal about LSU having all white coordinators and Head coach. It would piss people off a lot probably, but also, I don’t think most white people care enough to even notice or talk about it.

Why? Because they are all black?

Maybe not but getting Colorado relevant and to a 9-3 record was impressive.

The capitalization of ‘black’ triggers me way more than it should

It's both.

He's a better HC than this board gives him credit for, is limited by the university, and was propped up by Shedeur (who was a good college QB) and Hunter.

But I don't think he's as good of a HC as his fan boys want him to be.

Solid HC who would have fared better in the pre-NIL days. Could've built something in Boulder. Instead, he'll always underperform the unrealistic expectations he has. Those expectations are both the fault of the media, and him for having a big mouth.

He will, however, always be in the headlines - which is what he really cares about.

Two of his three years there were basically equivalent to what CU has seen for 10 or so years prior. And they play in a weaker conference since joining the Big XII

There’s a lot of white HC/OC/DC.

Why don’t they get articles written?
