I saw a pop up ad for the generation of professional headshots by this company online as I need a new one for work and the ones I’ve done myself are not great to say the least. The offer of ‘try it for free’ got me. I loaded a few pics and they generated like 50 versions in different settings and clothes and most of them look really really good. I have not clicked the purchase button and just thought I’d do a little due diligence before paying.

Just use Grok or another free AI platform. It will generate different clothing and background combos. Best of all, free.

My company asked us for pictures to go on a new round of company ID’s. We all sent them in.
About a week later, it was announced that there was to be a professional photographer on site to take ID photographs and we were to wear coat and tie!

Depending on the industry you're in, this is actually preferred. Professional, suit pics give some clients and vendors the impression that you're not trustworthy and a pleasure to talk to. They also don't provide much in the way on conversation starters.

They're so obviously fake that i refuse to use them. Every time i see one it's obvious Becky got an AI glamor shot with a Manhattan skyline background pretending like she's ever left Albuquerque.

Yep. Mines a fishing pic. Get asked all the time what lake it’s taken on.

Just get someone to take the best possible picture with a decent background with a standard phone. Throw the pic in ChatGPT and ask it to "make a professional headshot" and be done with it. Takes about 4 minutes.
