Does this ranking take into account what their current role is? Because those could drastically change over the next few weeks.

just your confidence that they will perform in whatever role they are logically called to do in the game. So not a ranking of starting pitching capability or anything, just your confidence in the roles they are usually being slated in right now.

I think we have one guaranteed ace (Moore) and 2 rock solid relievers (Guidry and Sheerin) at the moment. Anything else beyond that is still in development.

You forgot Ricken. Also, Cowan way too low, in my opinion.

as roles change we will see. But this is plenty pitching to make deep runs.

Honestly, I like our bullpen and starters just need to find the consistency and rhythm. Sheerin and Guidry and the most reliable arms out of the bullpen for sure. Moore has been the most consistent starter but Schmidt and Evans are right on the cusp of being elite starters.

something about paz's nonchalant wind up/delivery really rubs me the wrong way

Surprised we haven't seen more of Connor Benge. I'm not saying he's the answer, but Jay and Yeskie ran him out there a good bit last season. The fact that he returned, I assumed he would be more in the mix. Is he injured? Or has he just looked bad in scrimmages this spring?

Not going to be a popular answer, and it has nothing to do with your ranking, but I think all of them can be better than they showed last night. The question is who WILL get better

Year after year we see that Yeskie takes a long time to get his staff to peak. He's perfectly fine letting high potential guys go out and stink it up for as long as it takes as long as we're still in host contention

In my opinion, Evans is more valuable as a high leverage reliever than in his current role. Just not sold on him as a starter yet. Move Schmidt and Moore up or flip Schmidt to Friday if you think he’s ready. Try to find a 3rd guy to give you 4-5 out innings on Sundays and have Evans out the bullpen when you need him.

Jim, I apologize for being a jerk to you last evening. It was uncalled for and completely unnecessary. Regardless if we agree or not, I acted poorly. Please accept my sincere apologies. Thank you.
